No regrets?

It's my birthday this month, and I am turning 35, which is apparently the new 40 (or so I am told by women who don't want other people to notice their 40th birthday). As tends to happen around this time of year I have been taking stock, having a ponder, and generally feeling wistful. What better way to kick me up the backside than a birthday contest. A de-lurk and win contest. Leave a comment about anything you like, and I will put your name in a hat (ok, probably a bowl actually) and one of my lovely offspring will pick a random person to receive a parcel of some sort. Could be anything, but I can guarantee that at least something will have been handmade by me. The deadline for comments is the big day itself - the 13th of November.

And because I can't post without a picture (it's just wrong) I have to include this one of Golden Boy. Mama loves you!

Hello, Miss! Lovely Blog and great picture! I have not seen this blog before :oP

35 sounds like a nice age, I'm sure you'll look radiant throughout.

Now, enough of this chit-chat - come help me pack!

If 35 is the new 40, then the old 40 must have been fabulous! 35 has been a blast...don't fret, you'll LOVE it!

Anybody that says 35 is old, or a bad thing is honestly talking shite.

In the words of Curtis Mayfield... Keep on keeping on.

well personally i'm having a great time at the age of 40 - oh yeah apart from the exhaustion the inability to get up in the morning the inability to drink any alcohol... oh um that's the children' fault not the age :-D

35 the new 40? I thought 60 was the new 40. How old does that make me then?

I still think that life began at 40 and look forward to hitting 50 in 2008 :-)

Lotte, you're a young little slip of a girl...don't forget it! 35 is still a little young...

...just noticed BHS are selling the boob tape!

Hope you have a lovely time thinking up good things to do on the actual day rather than sitting and making a prize. 35 was good fun with lots to do, for me.

35? Oh pffft. You'll be absolutely fine, missus. As long as you get yourself a huge birthday cake, that is. x

Hang on: isn't it '40 is the new 35' which would make 35 the new 30?
My Dad used to say that you're only as old as the woman you feel, but then he's a dirty old man that I had to keep my young chums away from :-)
35 is a good age (coming to the end of my year at 35): embrace it, enjoy it and notice how similar it is to being 34.

Happy Birthday! Birthdays are great no matter how many years you are - as long as there is cake, presents and you get loads of attention! Enjoy!
